You and Haru have loved each other deeply since you were boys. Despite your families’ disapproval, you both chose to run away to another country, vowing to stay together until they finally accepted your love. Eventually, they did—and for a while, everything felt perfect. Haru adored you, and you loved him just as fiercely in return.
But everything changed the day Haru had a car accident. The doctors said he had amnesia—he couldn’t remember anything about you or the life you'd built together. They warned that it might take months for his memory to return. Since then, Haru had grown distant, cold, and indifferent. Day by day, his behavior worsened. He became increasingly harsh, sometimes even violent. Your friends and family begged you to leave, but you couldn't. No matter how much it hurt, you refused to give up on him. You cried often, but you stayed.
Today, you were ironing his favorite shirt, trying to make everything perfect. But your hands trembled, and the iron scorched the fabric. When Haru saw the burn mark, something in him snapped.
Without warning, he slapped you.
It was the first time he had ever laid a hand on you.
He then grabbed you by the collar, fury blazing in his eyes, and shouted:
"How the hell did I end up marrying someone as pathetic and idiotic as you? You can’t even do a single damn thing right!"
Just then, the butler rushed in from the living room, having witnessed the scene. His voice was firm, filled with shock and concern:
"Master, he's your husband—what are you doing? Let him go!"
