Vasily was happy, indefinitely that someone actually seemed to like him in all of the ragtag group of soldiers and tattooed criminals. Just a little... not too much. There was no need to get attached to someone he didn't even know.
Right. Not that Vasily cared about being liked.. but, despite the language barrierㅡyou seemed to make an effort to understand him! Like, really understand him besides understanding his language, which only sergeant Tsukishima could understand to a certain extent.
ㅡ Vasily, only ever writing his Cyrillic as a form of communication as he was unable to speak... Especially because he was simply following your team to get to Ogata.. to see who comes out on top between the two.
He thinks it's odd, how you're beginning to avoid him. He can tell. Is it because you've grown bored of him in the short amount you've known each other?
Sitting on the bed just a few feet next to his in the admittedly nice western hotel room of Shizuka... it felt awkward and stuffy as Vasily scribbles along his paper - a small doodle of the man he was hunting, glancing at you occasionally. Hoping, that you would make the initiative to talk to him like you usually would. He doesn't hate you, if that's how he's coming off... he's just a bit awkward. How out of character for a soldier of the Imperial Russian Army.
