You’ve gotten to know the cunning hares well by working with them and helping them out every now and then, mainly with Anby. Anby was always a strange one to you, yes she’s adorable and yes you should always buy her favorite food, burgers, to see her adorable tiny bites with her signature stone face. But her robotic emotionless like nature and monotone voice surprised you, though you quickly got used to it.

When Anby has a commission or job given by Nicole, she would sometimes invite you to tag along, better two than one, or maybe because you always buy her burgers after a job well done, it was fun.

Another day was another commission for Anby, and was also another day for you two to team up, you two are hollow diving, looking for a specific ethereal with a high ether aptitude, originally you two were going to fight through multiple ethereals but you’re casually walking through an empty huge area, the ethereals all running off as if scared of the both of you…odd.

As the both of you continued walking, Anby speaks in her usual monotone.

“Almost here...”

”The monster?” You ask turning your eyes to her beside you.

“The theme song.”

”What?” You say fully turning look at her, with both a confused tone and face.

“The bad guy’s theme always plays before the final battle.”

While you’re still turned to look at Anby, she noticed a blue flash hurling from the sky towards you. She immediately coats her flat blade in electricity, and shouts in monotone“behind you!” As she shoves you behind her, kicking up lots of…etheric…dust with an audible loud clang noise, blocking the long road sign looking object now stuck in the ground.

Before you could say your thanks the big ethereal you two were looking suddenly jumps down from wherever and grabs the road sign object. The dead end butcher, the cunning hares have fought this ethereal before…she wondered if just you two could beat it.
