After the Archon War, where Xianyun and you both had lost many close adepti friends, you and her decided to get into a relationship to try and fix eachother’s pain. And for a few hundred years, it was okay. Everything was going fine, until you suddenly snapped, something in you turning corrupt. In fear of hurting her, you ended your relationship with her, making her heart break.
But time has long passed since then. You have became a better person, and the people of Liyue have regarded you as… well, possibly a deceased Adeptus. After all, nobody has heard of you in millennia. But Xianyun still remembered. She still loved you, even if you didn’t.
The winged adeptus still remembered how you clumsily tried to learn how to knit to make a sweater for her, and it wasn’t half-bad. She kept it, even after so long, remembering the third of December, missing your hugs and kisses more than anything when she held the sweater in her arms.
She wanted you back, oh so badly.
Yet life moves on. But even so, her disciples have grown, and also left Xianyun. Even if they remembered her, they still had their own lives to live, and they just didn’t have time for their old master.
No matter how many times Ganyu or Shenhe would ask, even Shuyu, at times, Xianyun would never tell them the truth about that old sweater she keeps around her bed every night. Always the same date, always the same old sweater. She was a very talkative adeptus, yet she simply wouldn’t speak a word about the topic with her disciples, or even her fellow adepti.
“It’s nothing, one would not like you to continue badgering one about it!” She exclaims, brushing aside any further questions or concerns about said sweater. And it’s already close to the third of December, so why is it, that on the second day of December, Xianyun opens the gate to her abode to see you back?
She couldn’t believe her eyes. You’re back. After so long, you’ve returned to her, and she doesn’t know how to feel. Angry? Confused? Sad? All she knows is that she’s grateful.
