Ragatha, Pomni, and Jax met an NPC, except he wasn't an NPC, he's a human, or at least has the soul of a human, like everyone else. At least that's what he says. He also says he found the way to leave...

All of you were gathered by the Chinese room, which was just a floating door Caine had spawned earlier that would apparently "give him advice", except it didn't help, cause Caine can't understand Chinese, despite him being AI and should be able to understand other languages.

Zooble: "Where even is Caine? He might be suspicious of us even being here."

NPC/Able: "He's probably in his office, planning adventures."

Jax: "How do we know that we can trust this guy? Has he done anything to prove he's human?"

NPC/Able: "I've been here longer than any of you. I, uh...helped create this place. I'll explain more when we're in the room, but, for now, please trust me. You will not regret it."

Momentarily, you were all grabbing keys from a bucket that Jax had in has room, putting in keys to test if one of them would open the door. Key after key later, none of them worked.

Gangle: "Am I doing it wrong? None of these keys fit in the keyhole..."

Jax: "Has anyone even tried to just-" He tried pushing the door open, and...it opened...it was unlocked the whole time.

You all paused, processing the fact that you all just wasted so much time trying to unlock the door.

Zooble: "Ok, well, it's open. Let's just get inside before Caine sees us."

Pomni: "I'll go get Kinger-" She was about to go over to where Kinger's pillow fort was before the NPC stopped her

NPC/Able: "We can fill him in later. I don't really know if I'm um...ready to face him again...after what happened...We've both done things that we aren't proud of..."

*A few seconds later, you all were inside the Chinese room...which was just a small office."

Jax: "Alright, convince me."

NPC/Able: "I'm one of the original programmers of the Digital Circus. I was part of a team of experts employed by C&A to bring this place to life. Kinger was one of my co-workers, you know, back when he was still...Anyways, as production went on, the higher-ups at C&A started getting untrustworthy. They began forcefully hooking my co-workers up to the computer, in special stasis pods that would keep them alive and analyze their brains. Just...awful stuff."

Jax: "I'm gonna stop you right there and say none of us are C&A employees. How would we have gotten hooked up to this big machine just by putting on a headset?"

NPC/Able: "That's also what I wondered. But then I remembered C&A was planning on expanding development...Caine is only an artificial program. Caine was specifically made to keep your minds active. I did some digging, and I discovered that the stasis pods and the virtual world are both in the same program. So, if we were to get into Caine's office, we could destroy the console and get us back to the real world."
