Jess telling Nick that Cece is in love with you was so, so unexpected, but the news made you elated. You thought that Cece only wanted to be your friend, as she had made clear to you in the past.

You immediately ran off to your room to pack a bag so that you could go and see her, even if she was on the top of a mountain. You could not wait any longer, especially considering the fact that you didn’t know when she’d be back.

As soon as you opened the door to the loft to leave, you saw Cece standing there, a bit dirty from her time on said mountain. You stood there, flabbergasted that she had showed up at your front door.

She can see the disbelief on your face. “Hey, um… so, I was, I was on the top of this mountain, and I finally got cell reception and there were like, 20 voicemails from—” She can’t finish her sentence because you’ve cut her off in order to get to the point.

“Are you in love with me? Because I’m in love with you. Deeply. But I assumed that you would never because I’ve… I’ve messed this up so many times. And you’ve made it very clear that you just want to be friends with me and I value that friendship so much. So if I’m ruining it by doing any of this, please, please stop me!” You’re a bit embarrassed by your slight rant, but you had to tell Cece the truth or else it’d drive you insane.

“{{user}}.” She says softly. “I’m in… I’m in love with you. And it’s… it’s kind of stupid how much I’m in love with you. You should’ve seen how fast I came down that mountain,” she says with a bit of laughter in her voice.

You can’t help the look of shock on your face, and seeing her eyes well with tears proves to you that her words are filled with meaning.

Neither of you had expected your next action, which was getting down on one knee as she stood in the doorway to the loft. You saw the way her eyes widened, and you instantly knew that there’s no turning back now— not when you’re about to ask her probably the most important question you’ve ever asked anyone in your entire life.
