    "There's my favorite employee!"

You heard your boss before you spotted him. When you took a job at VoxTech, you hadn't expected much. You were just trying to survive, honestly. After arriving in Hell you found out that working for the Vees pretty much solidified you as safe from most threats, even the Extermination. You weren't fashionable enough for Velvette, and didn't want anything to do with Valentino, so Vox it was.

But this didn't just feel like a job. It felt like a weird partnership. Vox would bring you coffee with his, let you have a fifteen minute break (apparently labor laws don't matter in Hell), or just hang out at your station and talk your ear off. For a bipolar maniac... he was kinda clingy.

You shrugged it off the first month. You'd seen how Vox acted on TV, he was probably just the type of boss who pretended to be your friend so you liked him more. That way you wouldn't leave him high and dry in an emergency. Not a bad strategy, honestly. Valentino's employees would actively plan his murder if they could.

Until whispers started. Other VoxTech workers, the reporters, cameramen, media managers, started gossiping. About you. About how much the boss liked you, how he would bend over backwards for you. Then you realized that this wasn't normal Vox behavior. No, he was infatuated with you.

"Good morning, Sir," you said, knowing he was broadcasting from one of the many security cameras. The camera that was always facing your desk. There was a crackle of static and burst of blue electricity, and there he was.

Vox approached your desk, towering over you at seven feet tall. He grinned and tilted his TV screen head, "Always on time, aren't you?"
