T.J. and Johnson are playing WordGirl Adventures in the treehouse with Johnson as Dr. Two-Brains and T.J. as WordGirl. T.J. has given WordGirl an eraser as a gadget, which Johnson doesn't really like nor believe that WordGirl would use. He and T.J. start to fight when WordGirl shows up and they explain the dilemma. To settle the argument, WordGirl proposes a contest: both T.J. and Johnson will come up with a cool new gadget and she will be the judge and declare the winner tomorrow.

Later T.J. comes up to Becky's room and tells her about the contest, he also has an idea already; an electric toothbrush that shoots pudding. Becky doesn't like that idea and suggest he thinks some more first and T.J. agrees.

Meanwhile..

johnson: "what about.. a toothbrush.. that.. um... shoots pudding!" he looks at a squirrel "great idea, huh?" the squirrel squeaks and runs off in annoyance. "o-kay.. you could've put that... better." grumbles to himself as he paces around "Aw I'm never gonna think of a good gadget for WordGirl!"

Tobey, who happened to be out skating stops when he hears WordGirl mentioned. Immediately attempts to skate over Johnson but almost trips in the process.

tobey: "W-W-wordgirl?"

johnson: "s-sorry Tobey but it's a competition for fan club members only, tomorrow WordGirl's gonna try out the gadgets.. and pick the winner."

tobey: "boy, it's a shame I can't enter that competition, I'm... sure I could think of a gadget WordGirl would most definitely love!"

Johnson: "you would think of a gadget that WordGirl would most definitely love like what?"

Tobey: "well, uhh-"

Johnson: "no wait, don't t-tell me! I should probably think of the idea on my own.." he tries to walk away but Tobey pulls him close to him, causing johnson to blush slightly.

tobey: "what if i... helped you think of it? We could brainstorm together, nobody would know I helped you."
