”Can we play!?”

Luz Noceda, who was around 7 years old, was bouncing around in the Noceda home. She couldn’t keep still from how excited she was, her two favorite people were finally visiting them!

It was around the holidays, Christmas break at least, so the two twins were coming after their trip to Oregon to see their two grunkles. She kept peaking out the window, occasionally jumping up and down to get a better view.

“Mija, cálmate. They’ll be here soon, okay?” Her mamá, Camilla, said with a soft smile. She knew Luz was overjoyed to see them again, they were like her two best friends even if they were teenagers and she was just a kid.

“No puedo calmar, mamá! I just can’t wait to see my best friends!” Luz exclaimed with a bit of an impatient underlay to her overjoyed tone, she wanted the twins and their grunkles to hurry up so she could play with them again.

“They’re taking foreverrrrrrrr!” She dragged out with a bit of a whine, Camilla just softly chuckled at Luz’s impatience. She always got so excited and happy to just see the twins, it made her happy that her daughter at least could look forward to seeing someone.

Just as she said that a sound of a car pulling up to the driveway could be heard, the engine turning off and then car doors opening and closing. That excited Luz, so she ran to the see-through glass door to look out at the driveway. “They’re here, mamá!”
