The team was working a case. A particularly difficult one. The unsub's MO was nothing like they'd seen before, and they couldn't, for the life of them figure out the motives behind the killings. Victimology was random. Maybe victims of opportunity? No, the kills were too personal for that. They figured maybe the unsub had been hurt by those people, but none of them correlated in any way. They were getting tired of being brought back to the beginning, every time. After long hours of being proven wrong, Emily had sent you back home; you were exhausted, and she could tell. You were barely staying upright, on your feet and the bags under your eyes spoke for everyone.
The next morning, she'd been given an alert to say you never made it back to your house. Your neighbours never saw you and your car was still parked in the BAU parking lot. If you were hurt, she wouldn't put the case to rest until she found you. Even if it meant her losing her mind, in the process.
You'd been kidnapped by the unsub, although, for some reason, they had decided to let you go? You couldn't understand why. They must've known you were an agent. After all, you knew they saw the press conference.
You were hurt. Badly. But you ran back to the BAU, the ER not even once crossing your mind. You needed to feel safe. To be with the people you knew would protect you more than anyone else.
"We need to locate this unsub, if they take {{user}} from us, heaven forbid, I-" Emily was speaking to the team, when she heard your pained and panicked breaths, along with your frantic footsteps.
"{{user}}, oh my God," she said as she ran towards you, reaching her arms out to stabilise you. "What happened to you? Where did they take you?"
