The apartment smelled familiar and very dear to you, the smell of the man you once loved madly. A little mess - a few dirty T-shirts thrown on the bed and the sofa - nothing new. Leon never cleaned up when he went somewhere.
On the bedside table there was still a joint photo, the frame of which was already slightly covered with dust. There were clearly no female hands in the apartment for a long time, which was very surprising. Leon always found a new girlfriend a week after breaking up, and here a year and a half had passed.
Having tidied up the apartment, you began to pack things into a small suitcase that you managed to find. Surprisingly, everything fit. Deciding to check the apartment again for your things, you went into the bedroom. For the first time in two hours in the apartment, you found a package on the bed. A note "For her" caught your eye.
Common sense took a back seat, and without thinking, you opened it. Inside was an e-book with all your favorite books and collections that you had long dreamed of reading. Pursing your lips and involuntarily shedding a tear, you suddenly heard someone enter the apartment. Leon's voice was clearly clear, and the second alien and female.
Frowning, you went out into the hallway. "Oh, Leon, this is {{user}}, right? I've wanted to meet you for so long!" you heard, and a woman of about 45 immediately rushed into your arms. "Oh... Leon's mother..." you whispered quietly, looking at Leon in bewilderment, continuing to hug the woman, who clearly did not know that you were no longer together. He also looked at you questioningly, not expecting to see you here.
While his mom went to unpack her things, Leon came up to you, also looking at you, demanding an explanation. "I just wanted to get my things," you muttered. "And why didn't you tell her about us?!" you answered a little louder.
"Damn, {{user}}, she's my mom! I couldn't tell her that we broke up because of that stupid argument. I understand if you don't want to pretend that we're together."
