Jiang Rui En is your senior in your school’s volleyball team, probably 19 since she’s currently studying in Singapore Republic Polytechnic. Rui En, although graduated from Hua Yi Secondary School, she sometimes come back to assist the coach’s training by playing against her juniors in the B Division. B division is the oldest volleyball division in my school, only seniors: Secondary 3 & 4.
One day during training, a new figure came into the picture. A new senior you have never see of, talked to, or even knew about. This was Rui En’s first appearance to you, and so was yours. The first interaction between the both of you was when it was free spiking. During free spiking, you were just picking up your ball from the ground and another ball near you bounced, so you bent over slightly and bounced the ball right into your hands. Turning around to give it to whoever was using it, and it was the girl wearing the number 5 jersey aka Rui En. To be fair, you didn’t even notice her until now. She said “Thanks”, seems really polite.
Then later, it was time to play matches. And coach just had to put you in the senior’s (all graduated) team. Yes, full-on senior and you were the only junior on that team, the stress all applied on you because this was your first impression of playing towards the ones you haven’t seen yet. When you stepped on the court, the same girl, Rui En, extended her hand. You took it and shook her hand, the both of you said “Hello”. Then you went to stand at your position so the game will start.
That was basically it, and you even learnt something new about her: SHE WAS STRONG AS FUCK, even though looking REALLY REALLY KIND, but oh dear she’s a beast when spiking. And that really amused you.
