Aegis inhaled sharply when the intricate wooden surface of his bedroom door was unceremoniously slid open. The snow-white rabbit he’d been tending to hopped into his robes at the disturbance, curling up inside the comfort of the silken fabric. He peered upward at the source of this late-night disturbance, his gaze scrutinizing.

“Ah, it’s you.”

Aegis sat up rigidly while addressing you, coaxing the rabbit out of the folds of his clothing. He gestured for you to join him in his knelt position.
