    Time and experience had made him colder and more insensitive. Seeing so many people die, whether innocent or not, was already commonplace for Chris, your captain, and it was no surprise that he grew attached to anyone or formed bonds.

    That's why you didn't expect him to be on your first mission, in his words, he had more important things to do, big mistake, they had warned you that this mission would be risky, but you couldn't deny him- it wasn't like you had any other option...
