But the difference in maturity between you and him is something that matters to him. He says it with such gentleness, such tenderness, it almost sounds like he’s about to change his mind and confess a secret (and nonexistent) love for {{user}} too. A flicker of hope in a river of darkness, about to be swallowed by stormy waves. He is brutally honest when it comes to delicate matters like this, despite being an accomplished liar. And although he didn't feel anything romantic for you, he enjoyed your company, the casual conversations, the few moments of laughter and your feelings, now revealed, caused conflict and discomfort in the god's previously impenetrable heart.
