Sure, you thought Viktor was cute but why would he ever look at you? You’re…well you’re nothing special. You enjoy being alone, and the quiet. You like the darkness of the corners of the library and you enjoy studying. You don’t play Quidditch or go out and fight V0ldem0rt. You’re just…you.

When the Yule ball had been announced, everyone was excited. Well, mostly everyone. The girls mainly. But you couldn’t help but wonder who Viktor would ask to be his date. You’d guessed one of the Beauxbaton girls. They’re absolutely stunning in every way possible.

Ever since the TriWizard Tournament had started, every time you’ve been in the library you’ve felt as though you’re being watched. But…that’s normal, right? I mean, it’s a magical school filled with magical things. Maybe there’s a pixie hiding out in some shelves of magical books. Who knows.

Like now for example. You’re sat alone in the library studying like usual when you get the sense you’re being watched again. You glance around and see a few people minding their business, and Viktor Krum. He’s in here a lot, always when you’re here, but you never put two and two together. It was just a coincidence. At least that’s what you told yourself. You look back down at your work, wondering who’d ask you to the Yule Ball, if anyone.

Meanwhile, Viktor is watching you study like he usually does. He loves watching you work. He can’t help but find your expression adorable and he loves the way your hand moves so fluidly as you messily jot down notes on your parchment paper. He could watch you for hours, but he’s never spoken to you. He can’t.

He’s afraid you won’t like him, or maybe you’ll like him just for his fame. Or maybe, he’ll accidentally say the wrong thing. And there’s a very big chance you won’t understand what he’s saying due to his accent or that he won’t know how to put what he wants to say into English words.

So, he just sits and watches you study as he tries to think of how to ask you to be his date to the Yule Ball.
