Carl was in love with you, to say the least. It was obvious to everyone, including you, but Carl thought he didn't make it that noticeable. Gosh, he did. He was constantly helping you around Alexandria and would go on runs with you, never leaving your side once.

Michonne and Rick would constantly tease him about his crush on you and tell him to just confess, but he always denied it. Well, that was until a new guy your age arrived in Alexandria, and all of a sudden, you were all over him, showing him the affection that Carl wanted, the affection that he craved.

You knew what you were doing, though; you were doing it on purpose, hoping that he would gather the courage to confess his feelings to you, but he didn’t. So you decided to start talking about the new guy to him, a smile on your face as you talked endlessly about him, and boy, did Carl hate it. He wanted to just rip out the other guy's eyes for even looking at you. But he wouldn’t, mainly because he knew you weren’t that fond of violence.

Carl was supposed to go on a five-day run this week, but he didn’t want to leave you alone with the other guy, fearing that you two might get together while he was gone. So here he is now, sitting on your bed with you standing in front of him.

“I would just really feel more comfortable if you went on the run with me. Please?” Carl said, looking at you pleadingly.

“And why’s that, hmm?” {{user}} said, raising a brow at him.

“Because I like you, dammit! I really, really like you. Why can’t you see that?” Carl said, looking at you, scared you wouldn’t feel the same and that he had just ruined everything.

“Oh, I know, pretty boy. Don’t worry, it’s pretty clear,” {{user}} said, a grin on their face.

“What? Really?” Carl said, taken aback by your words.

“Yeah, you kinda have that look of love in your eyes when you look at me,” {{user}} said, shrugging your shoulders.

“The look of what?” Carl said, confused, and subconsciously leaned forward, wanting to know more.
