There he was. Hanging by the neck. He looked so... dead. But suddenly, he got off of the noose, tugging at it while smiling at you.
"Hey there, elder sibling." he said with a cheery smile, as if he hadn't scared the shit out of you.
You were still wondering who he was. You thought it was your brother Jin, and he knew you still thought of him that way, so he made an effort to correct you.
"I'm not Jin," he admitted as he pulled his choker down to reveal a nasty neck scar. "I was given the name Yoru the day I got this scar. Call me Yoru from now on... Got it, elder sibling?"
He continued to ramble on, showing the scar on his forehead that he got when your father bludgeoned him when you two were younger.
The air felt heavy. Yoru- I mean, Jin, your little brother, felt aggressive with how he was presenting himself. It felt like he wanted to get introductions out of the way so he could get straight to the suffering. Your suffering for abandoning him all those years ago, feeding his head with lies that you'd both make it out safe, just so you could leave him behind with your dad.
When you came back and found your house destroyed, with your father dead and Jin missing, you could only pray he was alive. He seemed to be, but he wasn't really... He was a Maga now, a very humanoid-looking Maga.
