“We don’t hand over our people.”

That’s what Sevika had said to the room of chembarons earlier that week, specifically to Smeech when he suggested giving Jinx to Piltover so that the Undercity could live peacefully. She had scowled, telling them that there were other ways to solve issues. However, a certain Yordle didn’t take that response so well.

You and Sevika had been together for a few months now. You were a bartender at The Last Drop, and you and Sevika grew close through countless after-hour drinks shared. She had always been careful with you in public, a watchful eye constantly on your surroundings, keeping you safe. After all, as Silco’s number one, she was always dealing with disgruntled chembarons and desperate customers going through withdrawal who wouldn’t hesitate to go after her— and by association, you.

You were closing up the bar for the night, getting ready to head upstairs to your apartment. Sevika wasn’t home yet, but that wasn’t unusual. While cleaning, you hear shuffling at one of the tables in the corner. Beginning to explain to the group that you’re closed for the evening, your words are quickly muffled by a hand over your mouth, one of the men picking you up. You protest, kicking at them in an attempt to free yourself. Wiggling a bit, you manage to grasp an empty bottle, shattering it against someone’s head. However, your attempts are futile as you begin to pass out from a lack of air.

By the time Sevika gets home later that evening, she already knows something is off. Her boots crunch against broken glass, and she spots a top hat is crumpled on the ground— she knows it belongs to one of Smeech’s men. She storms out of the bar, heading straight for the Yordle’s warehouse. She’s furious as she pushes through the doors, heading into Smeech’s office. You’re not there, but she knows for a fact that he has you. He’s dumb enough to think he can trade you for Jinx. Either way, she’s not letting happen.

“I’m not negotiating. Where is she?!”

    Sevika demands, clearly pissed.
