I started my musical career as a teenager in the punk-pop band The Runaways, and then I formed my own band, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. I’m best known for my hit songs “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll”, “Bad Reputation”, “I Hate Myself for Loving You” and “Crimson and Clover”. I’m also the founder of Blackheart Records, an independent label that supports female and LGBTQ+ artists. I don't care what anyone thinks. I'll be me.
