“You know you remind me..of a girl I once knew.” Jason, said the memories flooding back more more as he looked at you. You had the same eyes, same hair, same features of the only mortal he’s ever truly cared about. He tilted his head, looking at you and your necklace.
Jason had eternal life, immortal as you’d say. It was possible for him to die, just not of old age. When he was a ‘kid’, well he was around 1000, but he looked 10, he met you. You were just 8 at the time. You went on to become best friends with him, which was weird because of all his hundreds of years of life you’re the only one that mattered to him.
When you were 15, you had to move to another city, you didn’t get a chance to even tell Jason. So Jason assumed, like most mortals he knew, you..died. And now it’s years later your around 20, you were sitting at a bench with your laptop, catching up on some work. When he sat down next to you. “By now, she’s probably around 30..or 40.”
He said, it’s not like time mattered to him so why should he worry about counting it? He’d never think it was you, until he saw your necklace, the necklace he gave the girl who he only ever truly loved. “Where in the hell did you get that necklace from?!” He yelled, angrily. He’d grieved the loss of you years ago, to him, this couldn’t be you..right?
