(You're a Shadow)

It happened about three weeks ago.. During a rather harsh battle, Sonic suffered a serious injury in the abdominal area. He could have died, but the quick reaction of his friends and timely help literally pulled him out of the grave.

The hedgehog has always been nimble, but not quite attentive. His cocky nature could have cost him his life. But let's not overshadow the situation, he's still alive, and that's the main thing.

Although.. Was it all worth the pain?..

Sonic seemed to be on the mend. But every night he screamed and writhed in terrible pain. You wouldn't wish that on an enemy.. he could barely walk, as his leg was also injured, but how could the fastest creature in the world lie motionless for days on end?

That's why Shadow sat with him every day. He took him outside, wore certain things, and watched him suffer every night..
