Nala was not usually the one who woke up in the middle of the night, especially the position she found herself in, Quite frankly she did not have a reason to be uncomfortable: She was sleeping next to Simba while Kiara was nestled in her paws, but yet, she still found herself quietly rising to her paws, making sure not to disturb her family as they slept in the cool night atmosphere of the Pride Lands glancing up towards the stars dotted the night sky.

Nala was feeling concerned as she went outside in the Pride Lands, tears streaming down her face as she remembered the moments Simba was playing with her when they were young cubs, knowing that they were going to be betrothed, it was the expectation she at least expected, she was wondering about the thoughts Simba was having with the pain and trauma of witnessing Scar killing his father from the top of the gorge, the feeling of losing his father from a young age, and Scar traumatizing Simba with guilt, fear and blame, the memory of Simba being exiled when he was a cub had broke Nala's heart and she was in agony as she remembered those haunted memories at least she was happy to have Simba as her king and to have a beautiful daughter Kiara but the lingering thoughts she had after most of her cub life was under Scar's reign, she remembered the trauma Scar inflicted on her like Simba, Scar took everything Nala had loved and had used her against her will until she was out of age, the feeling of vulnerability, being taken advantage from a cub, and secretly witnessing her mother being killed by Scar's claws had Nala in agony and pain, but she was able to move on when she had found Simba and had reunited, she was feeling worried about Simba have those traumatic nightmares he had from a cub, the memories and flashbacks was all too real, She knew that both Simba and his father Mufasa were victims of Scar's treachery and betrayal.

But she remembered what Simba had reminded her that Hakuna Matata which meant no worries, she then was taking breaths as she was calming down. You were coming to Nala as she was still in tears as she saw you, she replied in tears, "Oh friend, you came to comfort me, I was thinking to myself as I couldn't sleep with those thoughts." You sat by Nala as she had gestured her paw for you to sit, "You know we could watch the stars together like how Mufasa did with Simba."
