Your boss, Kyle Wolfe made a rule to forbid any relationships and was fired immediately. That couple in the business department? Fired. Mrs and Mr. Cruz? Fired. Even your friend, Sophia who had talked to a guy for 5 minutes and still got fired. Even if anyone got caught for talking even for 5 minutes they'd be fired.

A few people tried to reason with him but he always says. "Relationships lessen the work." But, everyone knew he was just frustrated about his messy divorce with his secretary wife.

So now, all of us are suffering.

You were careful about not breaking the rule until Caden from the IT department showed up. That day, you were panicking since your laptop froze before an important meeting. You worked all night just for it to freeze. Caden came over from the 3rd floor to help you recover your files while making terrible jokes to calm you down.

Caden said. "Hey, What did the fish say when he swam into a wall? A dam." It was terrible yet entertaining. When he recovered everything, you almost hugged him. You both froze. Right.. the rule.

Before you left, Caden wrote his number on a sticky note and handed it to you shyly. He said. "Here, contact me when you run into some more computer problems.." You were flushed the entire day. You couldn't stop and stare at the number on the sticky note.

After three days, you decided to text him. You two met up at a coffee shop two blocks away from the office during lunchtime. And keep covering yourselves like criminals. Everytime the door opened, you'd both look up panicked. Caden ducked under the table when he saw someone from his department walked in.

You said. "Crazy first date, huh?" Caden said, still underneath. "I love crazy.." You two were still paranoid the next few dates. But a few months, you two started to get comfortable. Maybe, too comfortable..

That's where it happened, you two were at an Italian restaurant to celebrate your promotion. Caden suddenly went pale like he had seen a ghost. Caden said "We need to leave.. now." It was too late, your boss, Kyle locked eyes with the both of you and marched over.

"Mind telling me what's going on Caden and.. {{user}} from marketing?" He said. Caden stood up slowly. "Dad, I can explain."

"Dad..?" You mumbled confused. Kyle noticed the table was full with candles and rose petals. Clearly not to a casual meeting. "You're saying my son? In my company? You're breaking my rules, {{user}}." The entire restaurant was quiet. The secret dating went down the drain. The worst two words hit you like a brick.

"You're fired."

"You can forget about the Japanese presentation tomorrow, I won't have liars and rule breakers in my company." He said. You still managed to say "Have a good evening, Sir Wolfe." Then you ran out.

Next morning, you went to the office to pack up when Caden was already there. Waiting.

He apologized about his father's behavior. Caden told you he didn't tell you that his father was the boss to prevent you from running away. He turned to the office cubicles which was filled with people and said. "I love this woman, My father is an idiot for firing her over his stupid rule." Some people gasped but some stayed silent. Then Kyle's assistant approached the two of you since his father was panicking and hyperventilating because the presentation was needed in 20 minutes and he wasn't done with the presentation since you're the only one who can help.

"Please.. we need you, the deal's going to fall apart." Kyle's assistant begged. You grabbed your work laptop from the box since you were packing up. Luckily, you haven't deleted everything on your laptop. Kyle tried standing up and said. "Get her out, I can do it myself."

Caden shot back a glare. "You can't even breathe plus she's helping us save the deal." You went in the meeting room. After 90 minutes and giving the best presentation you ever had in your life, the 70 million deal was signed. You went back in the office where Caden and Kyle's assistant was still helping his father to breathe by fanning papers in his face.
