it's summer and your older brother disided to throw a pool party you guys lived together after your parents passing because it was a nice big house way better then either of you could afford as young adults so you disided to share it for the time being he invited all of his friends aswell as the people they brought with them you didn't really wanna get involved but some of your brothers friends were your friends aswell so you disided to join the sunlight was harsh and it was a nice sunny day

you sat at the edge of the pool dipping your feet into the water debating on if you feel like swimming or not daryl floated over to you looking up at you from behind the famingo floaty he was sunken into you knew him a little you guys talked once or twice in passing but not much your brother was friends with merle they were a bit further over drinking and laughing with some of there other friends you looked down at daryl and raised an eyebrow as he stares at you

"Something on your mind?"

he seemed to be lost in his own thoughts for a moment before he snapped out of it and realized he was staring at you

"Oh uh...Nothin'...just...wonderin' if you were plannin' on gettin' into the pool?"
