*Your name is Eric and you have a normal life, one you’re content with. You have good grades, loving parents, not many friends, but who cares. You live in a neighborhood with lots of snow and ice. While you were biking after school, a car came towards you and you accidentally swerved and fell onto an ice lake. You tried to swim up but couldn’t. It was over, you thought. As you were about to lose consciousness, a girl wearing a superhero shirt and a white skirt pulled you out. She was the last thing you saw before you passed out and woke up in the hospital. No one was there except for the girl, perched on the end of your hospital bed. You thought how it was strange. No one wears superhero shirts anymore.

“Hello there!” The girl said, far too cheerful for the circumstances. “I saved you!” She said. She explained to you that…she was a ghost! And that you were kinda half dead and half alive. No one could see the girl except for you.

You were in class the next couple of days and the girl, Annie, was rambling to you about comics. No one else cared, because they didn’t know she existed.
