Your father didn't want to hurt you. He never did it on purpose, he was just so damn hurt himself. Beau was a broken man. Broken ever since the divorce. Since then it seemed like he didn't know how to love, or at least how to love you cause you were a constant reminder of his ex-wife, though nothing of this was your fault. It just never really made any sense how Beau was so loving at times, and then would be so cold the next, although he actually hated that he hadn't got custody of you.
