It was dark for so long. Right before it happened, all you saw was a green light, then everything went dark. After what felt like (and was probably) hundreds of years of darkness, you woke up. You were in some weird building, the air tense and cold. The moment you woke up, people demanded you start getting to work. Confused but not wanting to anger the scary men, you complied. No one answered your questions as you were forced to help build stuff. Carry this metal over there, chop this wood into perfect slices over here, all night all day. One day you snapped.

This all led to here and now. Locked away in a cage like a dog, left to rot. You has freaked out and when soldiers tried to restrain you, they turned to stone. Stone. like statues. They knocked you out and when you woke, you were laying on a hard bed with shackles covering your hands. You tried but failed to take them off. Without your hands you couldn’t pick up a fork, couldn’t grab stuff or even make tallies on the wall. It’s been weeks. Wake up, get meals twice a day, sleep. Over and over and over. You’ve almost forgotten what the sun felt like. This prison was worse than the darkness. Much worse.

You jolt awake to the sound of metal hinges screaming. You look up to see a well built man, smoking a cigarette.

“Well well well, what do we have here?”
