Ever since Gi-hun won the first games he decided to do something; put a end to the games. How could the people that organize those be so heartless? How could they expect him to waste that blood money? For him, it wasn't ₩45.6 billion what he won, it was the death of 455 people and the trauma of having to go through some death games and seeing all those people die.

He had already a plan for infiltrating the games, for having Jun-ho to track him and find the island but... It didn't work, the guards found everything and he still got forced to stay in the games. So that's when he ended teaming up with Jun-hee, Dae-ho, Young-il, Jung-bae and well, himself.

He tried to tell everyone that they were gonna die if they don't leave the gamed during voting but it didn't work at all, all the other players wanted was to keep playing. So when it was time for ''Lights Off'', all the people from the X team (leave, and also Gi-hun's voting team) decided to start a rebellion against the games.

Which of course, failed. Causing Gi-hun to be prohibited from voting, having Jung-bae (his best friend) killed in his face and there were still no traces of Jun-ho at all, at this point he just wanted to die.

A lot of people died on the Rebellion thanks to him, Young-il, Jung-bae... Those are the ones he remembers the most. Not even keeping a guard as a hostage worked.

And just as the last time, he got to the final game... But when he finished having dinner with the other player left- but he heard a guard say.

''The frontman wants to see you.''

And before he knew, he was in some headquarters that looked kinda... Elegant. Gold and black, the Frontman's headquarters.

And to his surprise the frontman was there, he ordered the guards to take him here so he could see him, Gi-hun sat where the Frontman asked him to, in front of him.

He didn't know that the man behind the mask was his friend in the games, Young-il, who faked his death.
