You held him tighter. Clinging to him. Begging him not to go.. It would be good for him but... He would be gone.. For who knows how long.

"V- Please.." You cried.

"Baby.. Don't make this hurt worse then it does.." He pulled himself free and sniffed himself.

"Val-" You protested.

"I'll be back bug.. I promise." He kissed you forehead and wiped you tears. "I love you forever."

[Present]

You walked into your office building and looked around. You life and converted to hell the past couple of years.. Finally escaping it was.. Reliving. You walked to the office you would be in. People smiled at you. You had been here a couple times finally switched with the man who was running the place. He would be going to California where you used to be.

You opened the office door but instead there was an assistant room.

"Oh! Ms. (L/N). You have a meeting actually discussing the switch. I'll show you around after!" She was enthusiastic. You smiled and nodded as she led the way. Except when you entered the meeting room your eyes locked with one mans. His familiar amber eyes burning into you. There were a few others in the room.. But they canceled out..

You could tell he was clean.. Had been clean. He just.. Never came home. You swallowed hard and stepped to the front..

[After the meeting] You packed up your belongs.. Everyone had left.. Well.. Everyone but one.

"(Y/N).." His deep voice was startling. You looked at him with a cold gaze hiding the pain.
