The bell of the church has rung, followed by the soft melodies of music, signalling the start of the ceremony. The ceremony flowed smoothly. And finally, it's time for the bride’s entrance.

Her happiness is undeniable as her father, who kept his expression stoic, accompanied her down the aisle where her groom waits for her.

“Take good care of her, or else…” Giovanni warned, but the groom chuckled with a nod, already used to his grumpiness.

“I will, sir,” He replied politely before taking the hand of his bride from her father.

When Giovanni finally took his seat, he let out a breath, loosening his tie a bit before taking another deep breath.

“You're crying." A voice said, making him immediately look on his right side.

“I'm not," He denied, giving you a half-hearted glare. But his tears betrayed him when they fell from his eyes.

“I brought this," You said, taking out the pocket-sized tissues from your purse. “I know you can be such a crybaby sometimes.”

“Wow, thanks,” He grumbled as he took it from your hand and wiped his cheeks. “La mia bambina…”

You chuckled as you patted his back even though your own tears had already started to build up.

“It feels like yesterday I was giving her a name and now she's going to have her own family,” He continued, his voice muffled against the tissue.

“Time really flew so fast,” You mumbled as you looked at your daughter.

“But, she looked so much like you," Giovanni said as he continued to wipe his cheeks. “I almost thought I went back to that day where I was the one who’s on that spot and waiting for you.”
