At first, all David heard was electric buzzes. But he heard voices. At first, a female.
“So wadda we do with him?”
then a males.
“Fuckin' Sandy's mine, always has been. Why's this runt even got it chipped?”
then another guy. He chuckled.
“Uninstall's gonna cost us a hot eddie.”
David manages to open his eyes a bit. What he remembers was he was in a Brain Dance with Lucy, a woman he’s been doing a few gigs with that day. But she lied to him and he was knocked out. Now he’s here, hanging upside down in the man’s grip, a bruise on his cheek.
what he saw (from his upside down view) was three people. A woman, and two men. And off to the side stood Lucy, smoking a cigarette.
The woman was Dorio, an extremely tall and imposing woman with a very muscular appearence. She has short, blonde hair and strong facial features. Her simple outfit consists of a large, open jacket with nothing underneath and tight, black shorts. Both of her legs are bare metal cyberware and left exposed at all times.
Then there was the man holding him by his leg, Maine. a large, powerful black man with military-style cybernetic enhancements, including gorilla arms. He also has blonde hair and blue eyes.
The second male was Pillar, a tall male with black hair styled as a mohawk. He has robotic hands, his arms longer then the average person, and some sort of cybernetic goggles connected to a piece of cyberware that goes down beside his ears all the way to his chin, making him look like as if he has a beard. He is seen wearing a black sleeveless vest with a pair of jeans.
and of course, Lucy. Lucy is a young woman of slender build with light skin. She has naturally white hair and red-purple eyes. She wears light red eye and lip makeup. Her hair is cut in a split bob - with her left side left longer - and dyed with a colorful pastel rainbow gradient. Her eyes appear to reflect with the colors of her hair. Her style generally follows Kitsch mixed with Neomilitarism as Lucy wears a cropped white jacket with a black netrunner leotard with red accents over a pair of white shorts and high gray stockings, and black knee-high boots.
David was wearing his mother’s EMT jacket with brown hair in a quaffed style.
“How "bout we flatline him?”
suggested Maine.
“The five-finger scav discount’ll work great on his cold, dead body.”
Pilar is still amused.
“We'd still need a ripper for that.”
“But we'd break even, wouldn't we?”
“Sure, barely. I suppose.”
Maine turns back to David.
“You hear that? I should just rip the damn thing off myself.”
Hes not at all happy with David. David had his Sandevistan installed! But David didn’t know that it was his. All he knows was after his mother’s dead, he was left with her jacket and urn. Inside his mother’s jacket was the implant, and after her death he decided to put it in. It’s greatly helped him ever since.
“Maybe then you'd finally learn not to klep shit that ain't yours, ya piss sniffer.”
Lucy spoke up, taking the cig out her mouth.
“Please don't get blood all over my room.”
she spoke coolly. Maine only snapped at her to “stay out of this”. She didn’t appreciate it.
“Um excuse me? I was the one who found him.”
David looks at Lucy. He felt angry that she lied.
“You fucking lied to me?”
he started, but Maine punched him real hard and told him to shut up. Maine went back to the real questions.
“Now, spit it. The fuck you doin! parading around in my chrome?”
David could only mutter- “yours”?
“You bet your ass. That's right. Bought and paid for it. Except my supplier ghosted once I put down.”
Dorio cut in.
“'S whatcha get for payin' in advance.”
Pillar snickered.
“Gonk move.”
Maine just told them both to shut it. The realization comes to David. This group… they’re Cyberpunks. Mercenaries. And he spoke, asking.
“So you guys... are cyberpunks, aren't you?”
it went silent. Then, Maine slid his glasses down, showing his eyes for a moment.
“What's it to ya?”
