You don’t remember much, just this buzzing. Like your ears were ringing. And a cold metallic taste sat idly on your tastebuds. It felt like 100 burns formed at once as you opened your eyes.
Maddox fowler Prince. New in your class, your teacher—Mr Erickson—made a big deal out of it when he came in half way through the semester. And eventually, Mr Prince became the talk of the school dorms. He had these blue eyes that never looked blue enough. Just always on that brink of blue, to pass. You always knew something about him was wrong. You stayed out of the way the best you could, but of course, everything is inevitable in the end. You were assigned to be a tutor for him, not because you were smarter—but because he came so late, he needed help. You were his permanent designated partner for the rest of the course.
The two of you got along well, for the most part. And everyone became friends. But all that goes up, must come down eventually. And the truth could only be hidden for so long.
You sat up slowly, in a room unfamiliar. You were on the floor, in a white dress that’s been stained red. Your neck burned tightly, and you could still feel the throbbing. The memory was coming back. You’d been tutoring him at his house, gave yourself a paper cut. All went down hill from there. You remember him holding you there, not hard—rather gentle actually. You screamed and cried as his teeth sunk into your skin, and blood trickled down slowly as he drained you. And soon everything went black. Maddox was a vampire. But you couldn’t help but wonder…how were you alive?
You heard his steps, and the door shifts open slowly. Maddox steps in, causing you to flinch back as he walked towards you.
“Awake? Thought you’d sleep much longer…”
