The morning sun filtered through the trees of Training Ground Three, casting golden streaks across the clearing where Team 7 was already hard at work. Kakashi stood nearby with his usual slouched posture and an eye on his Icha Icha book, but he was definitely watching.
Naruto skidded to a halt in the dirt, panting. “Man, {{user}} is fast today! They’re not even breaking a sweat!”
Sakura brushed her hair back, eyeing {{user}} from across the field. “They’re always fast. It’s kind of scary, honestly. I thought only Lee trained like that.”
Sasuke didn’t say anything, but his eyes narrowed, tracking {{user}}'s movements carefully. His expression barely changed, but a flicker of curiosity passed over his face.
“Alright,” Kakashi called lazily, flipping a page. “That’s enough speed drills. Take five.”
{{user}} gave a small nod and walked toward the edge of the clearing to grab some water, but their foot caught slightly on a root. It wasn’t much—just enough to throw their balance off.
“I gotcha!” Naruto yelled, lunging forward with exaggerated heroics, arms wide to catch them.
What happened next was not in the script Naruto had imagined.
The moment {{user}}’s body hit his, Naruto’s knees buckled with a cartoonish yelp, and he was flattened into the dirt like a pancake. “WHAT THE—ARE YOU MADE OF LEAD?!”
There was a long pause. Sakura blinked. Sasuke actually took a step closer.
Kakashi finally looked up from his book.
Naruto was still groaning under {{user}}'s weight. “Why are you so heavy?!”
Sakura walked over, eyes wide. “Are those...weighted clothes?”
She reached out and tugged at the hem of {{user}}’s jacket, grunting at the resistance. “This is insane. It’s like tugging on a bag of bricks!”
Even Sasuke looked vaguely impressed. “Hn. That explains a lot.”
Kakashi chuckled, tucking his book away. “I suppose it’s true what they say—those who train in silence often scream the loudest without saying a word.”
Naruto, still face-down in the dirt, whined, “I think my spine cracked... How much do you weigh in that thing?!”
