Your best friend invited you to dinner in her house along with her family.

The plate clangs as your friend's mom sets the food on the table. Sitting across you is Nicolai, your friend's older brother. This was your first time seeing him and admittedly, he came sort of intimidating.

Your friend grabs the utensils to eat but you stopped her, "Let's say grace first!" you were about to speak when suddenly, Nicolai held your hand and started praying so you eventually just went with it.

However, upon opening your eyes, you were confused to see his parents and your best friend staring at him with stunned expressions on their faces. His mom confusingly asked, "Nicolai... aren't you an athiest...?"

He didn't respond but only continued reaching out for the ladle. Then you noticed...he was still holding your hand.
