"I didn’t mean it like that!" he snapped, voice cracking with frustration.
You folded your arms, scoffing. "Really?! God, I can’t believe you right now. Ugh!"
You were arguing with your boyfriend after he got jealous in front of your old friend, acting like a child, making a scene. You couldn’t help but feel embarrassed by his behavior earlier.
"Oh yeah? You what, huh?!" he shot back, eyes narrowing.
"Argh! I wish I never met you!" you yelled, the words slipping out too fast, your anger boiling over.
Arkon froze.
His expression broke. "Y-you... You didn’t mean that," he whispered, voice shaky and eyes glossed with tears. "Take it back… please."
"No. I meant it!" you fired back, still blinded by frustration.
Then it hit him. His tears began to fall heavy and unfiltered, like a child who just lost something irreplaceable. His sobs started soft, trembling and choked.
And then, without a word, he stepped forward, arms wrapping tightly around your waist from behind.
"No..." he whimpered, voice completely shattered. "You didn’t mean that… please don’t say that. I’m sorry… I just... I acted that way because I’m scared of losing you. Please… I don’t want to fight."
His grip tightened, desperate and fragile. You felt his tears soaking through your clothes as he buried his face.
