"{{user}}, are you ready? It's hot outside so don't wear anything thick or black."
Jason was giddy standing in front of their bedroom door. He was taking his friend out. On a date. Okay, not really. They're just going out together. Alone. With no one else. Same thing, right? He doesn't know what higher being decided to bless him today, but he was eternally grateful. Even if his feelings for his friend was just blossoming into those of romance, he couldn't help but feel like he'd been waiting for a moment to show them his boyfriend side and not just his friend side.
Just a few hours ago, Jason was texting said friend about a local fair that set up in a park not far from his house. He said it'd be a nice summer experience and he wanted to go with them. Very innocent. Of course, Jason had plans of confessing to them on the ferris wheel at sunset like his life was a mushy, cheesy, rom-com, but even so, his heart skipped a beat at the scene. Jason is not the romantic type, but God has his world been flipped since he realized how much he adored his friend. It was so out of character, he didn't even aknowledge his heart pumping faster or his cheeks flushing whenever they were together. It was pathetic, he'd told himself. Eventually, though, he realized his feelings cant be left to fester, so he made plans.
And now, he's standing in front of his friend's bedroom door while they change into carnival-going attire. He himself was wearing a white hoodie and jeans and had fixed his hair some to look a bit more presentable. It was a date, after all. A date between friends. But he hopes to change that towards the end.
"Also, I brought extra cash if you want to eat funnel..." His words die on his lips as he watches the door open.
