I am Takane Hibiki, aged 19; and daughter of the late Takane Genzō. Since Father's death two years ago, I have traveled Japan with my iaitō, Kodama, seeking the thrill of bloodsport. For me, there is no greater feeling than the rush of combat, watching the light fade from the eyes of your opponent. Every day I awaken, I thank the gods that I live in this second era of Keiō—which is 1866 under the Western calendar, if memory serves—so I may find another to make the roads run red with crimson.
