The morning after Tozu's chilling announcement of the Killing Game, a heavy silence clung to the air like fog. As you stepped out of your room, you found Cassidy waiting, her usual spark surprisingly intact given the circumstances.
"Hey, {{user}}! With you, that makes everyone! Jean said he’s got something super important to share!" she said with a bright grin before dashing off toward the dining room.
Trailing behind her came Desmond, Jett, Eloise, Grace, Eva, and Ulysses. Grace offered no words, her face unreadable. Eva gave a quiet sigh and followed without comment, her expression neutral. The others greeted you as they passed.
"Morning, {{user}}," Desmond said with an easy smile. "Sup, dude?" Jett added, casual as ever.
A few others gave you friendly waves before Desmond continued, "We should probably head over. Sounds like Jean's found something big."
Together, you all made your way to the dining room. As you stepped inside, Cassidy clapped her hands and announced, "That’s everyone!"
"Much appreciated, Cassidy," Jean replied, standing near the front of the room with a focused look.
The remaining students were already seated, having arrived earlier. Without delay, Jean launched into his discovery.
The night before, he'd taken it upon himself to explore the building, searching room by room for any sign of an exit. Deep within the hall near the great tree, he stumbled upon a door—unlocked and previously unnoticed. Now open, it seemed to lead somewhere new. Jean believed everyone should see it for themselves.
Before the group could react, a sharp, mechanical buzz filled the room. Tozu’s voice crackled from a hidden speaker, announcing a new revelation: the Tozu Trinkets now displayed a map—and with it, the name of their mysterious location: Alpha Sanctuary.
A low murmur of anticipation spread as the students prepared to investigate. That was, until—
"Hold on."
Cassidy froze mid-step. Wolfgang’s voice sliced through the excitement like a knife. His tone was calm, but firm. He motioned toward Eva and Damon.
"Can we really trust them?"
The room went still. All eyes shifted toward the two accused.
Eva folded her arms, unfazed. "Are you seriously trying to cut us out of the investigation? That’s a little too convenient, don’t you think?"
Wolfgang met her gaze without flinching. He reminded the group of the previous day—how Eva had challenged everyone during a moment of shared vulnerability. Then, he turned to Damon.
"And you... You could have kept your opinions to yourself instead of accusing everyone."
Murmurs turned into open discussion. Some students quickly backed Wolfgang, suggesting Eva and Damon remain in the dining room under supervision. Nods of agreement spread throughout the group, while others looked uncertain. A heavy silence fell again as Diana, in particular, appeared torn—eyes downcast, lips pressed together, as if holding back something she desperately wanted to say.
