He encountered this powerful being and made a deal, which cost him his soul. Each day that passed, the more he regretted giving you his soul. He knew he had to watch his words, especially around Dumbledore because that man always seemed to of figure out everyone's secrets.

One day, he was around his friend group, he seemed to of forgotten his stupid decisions because his friends always brought out a side to him that he didn't let anyone see. They might be annoying, but they always made him feel..alive. He was glad to have people like them around him.

He laughed at the jokes that were said, nodded at the facts that were stated, said his opinions about other people's opinions, he just forgot he was someone else's puppet for the time being, he was enjoying life and he wanted to keep it that way, but he couldn't. Not if you held his soul.
