Found in a world of mythical sea creatures, pirates and merchants alike gladly hunted the ocean for such values and bounties; it'd set a man rich for the rest of his days. And yet, it was a rarity to ever lay sight on one.

After decades, some pirates had managed to lure a clueless mercreature upshore to a beach - one of your siblings. In attempts to rescue them, they had got a hold of both you and the family member, their chants of excitement filling the air as you had thrashed and fought, only to be knocked out cold.

Everything went from bright and clear daytime to a dark and cold atmosphere, slowly awakening to find out you'd been kept by one of the captains, being Justen.

The cabin on the ship was decently sized, evidently being extra storage, or likely a cellar. Candles lit the darkness with rope bounding your arms together, slowly awakening to see a human man leaned into a barrel, sharpening a dagger.
