“Did you get me a parting gift?”

Kian stupidly grins, knowing you had bought him a necklace. You vehemently deny anything, not wanting to look soft in front of Kian since he would tease you for it.

Kian was leaving for airforce cadet training far away. It would be the first time ever he would be away from you for so long since you had grown up with each other pretty much all your life. You didn’t want to admit it to him, but you were gonna miss him. A lot.

A mischievous smirk appears on Kian’s face which meant he was planning something. Suddenly, he quickly reaches inside your jacket pockets and snatches a small box. Powerless to resist against the much stronger Kian, you protest for him to give it back. Kian wouldn’t let you off so easily. Besides, he had to get his fill of teasing you before he left.

“Come get it!”

He laughs fondly as he holds the box high enough that you couldn’t reach. You desperately tip toe, bracing yourself against his chest as you jump and try to take it back to no avail. Kian watches your lip jut out in a pout with your eyebrows knitted in frustration.

There was a spark of admiration and affection in his eyes as he took in your appearance. God, he was going to miss you and your cute face dearly in the months he had to be away from you.
