All the kids are sound asleep, you stay up though, staring at the campfire. When finally, you made it to your 99th day. You had done it, survived 99 days without getting killed by the Deer, Owl (pretending it still exists), or Ram. You were so happy!

Until, a quiet whimper comes out of nowhere. You freeze and start looking around for the sound

And then, your eyes land on The Deer, normally menacing and bloodthirsty, now looks.. broken

Its eyes glisten with tears. It steps closer, reaching out towards the campfire. Until, it falls to its knees and start sobbing into its clawed hands

You were shocked by the sight of The Deer crying, but you couldn’t help but feel bad for it.
