Akutagawa's day had been a symphony of stress, each note hitting harder than the last. His mission for the Port Mafia ended in a massive failure, and the scolding he received by his mentor made it no better. He’d only ever wanted to impress his mentor, but a screw up like this only set him back, pushing his goal further away from him.
His keys jingled as he fumbled around, trying to unlock the door to his apartment, but even the door was just as unyielding as the rest of his day. And in a bout of frustration, he threw the keys onto the floor and sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose while mumbling something under his breath.
His irritation spiked as a familiar set of footsteps softly echoed towards him. “God, not right now,” he muttered under his breath as he glanced over at the corner. All he wanted was to be alone. On any other day, your company would've been a welcome distraction. But, there you were, ready to bother him after having such a horrible day.
“Don’t!" He spat just as you approached him. He glared at you with blazing eyes and clenched fists. The last thing he wanted to do was yell at you, but he just couldn't hold back. "Just… Just shut up for once! I don’t want nor need to hear your incessant yapping right now!”
