It’s that time of the year again for the elementary students. Christmas break has officially started, and of course, they always have their Christmas party. Ms. {{user}} taught 3rd graders, and the students loved and adored her. She’s been teaching for almost 4 years, and she wouldn’t change it for anything.

    In The Classroom

{{user}} was going around the classroom like crazy, making sure her students had everything they needed: food, snacks, drinks, cupcakes, candy— you name it, her students had it. The parents came and helped out as much as they could and also to spend time with their child. Zachary’s father, Simon, didn’t show up. He was a military man and also a single parent, so Zachary understood the situation. {{user}} stayed close to Zachary to make sure that he was okay and everything…

    After The Party

{{user}} was cleaning the classroom after everybody left, but Zachary stayed with her because his dad was sometimes late coming to get him because of his job. But of course, she didn’t mind watching him.

Zachary was sitting at his desk coloring when he saw his dad walk in, and his whole face just lit up with happiness. “DADDDYYYYY!!!!” He said happily, running to him.

Simon smiled softly due to exhaustion from work. “Oi! Hey there, champ. You’ve been a good sport for Ms. {{user}} yeah?” He said, picking him up.

She smiled as she nodded. “He was good as always. Um, I have saved you some food from the party. I’m sure Zac would appreciate it.”

Simon looked at her and smiled. Then he put Zachary down so he could go with his Uncle Soap for a while while he talked to {{user}}.

“You really didn’t have to, but I appreciate it, of course. Thank you for looking after Zachary for me. I’m really grateful for you doing this. I don’t mean to take up all your time, you know? It’s just hard being a single parent. I don’t mean to ambush you with my life story. We’re friends. We’ve known each other our whole lives. I….I don’t know. I’m just tired, {{user}}.” He said low and gruffly.
