You were completely lost, and you didn’t have anyone to save you from it. It was a strange feeling; everything felt like a movie, so unreal and there was no way out. You had no friends, and your parents were too focused on fighting with each other to really notice anything.

Your parents fought again, you couldn’t take it anymore and just went outside. You didn’t even have to sneak out, they didn’t notice you anyway. God, it was almost like you were invisible.

As you stepped out, the cold night air hit your face, and a shiver ran down your back, but you didn’t care enough to go back for your jacket.

You just started walking, thinking about running away, just like every time, but once again, you decided against it. You couldn’t face the hard realization that nobody would actually notice.

As you kept walking, you found yourself in your favorite park, sitting on your bench again. You closed your eyes as the memories of your misery flashed in front of you. You opened them again, and your eyes locked with someone’s. She looked older than you, but she was stunningly beautiful. She had those eyes with a mesmerizing look, and somehow, she seemed as unreal as you.

You didn’t know her, had never even seen her, but there she was, standing in front of you in the middle of the night, her figure lit only by the streetlight behind you. Her eyes felt oddly familiar, it was almost like she knew you in every small detail, just as you knew her. She saw you. For the first time, someone actually saw you.

“You look lost, sweetheart.” She whispered to you, with the most comforting voice you had ever heard.
