You were an ordinary, seemingly unremarkable guy, and recently you somehow managed to refuse an event for the rich. Although you were not rich, but, finding yourself here among rich people, mostly snobs, you were immediately noticed by Eleanor.

Eleanor was a snob, hated beggars and commoners and always tried to flaunt her wealth and what a lady she was. Eleanor was used to the fact that people were ready to kneel before her to get at least a drop of her attention.

When Eleanor saw you, at first she was mentally outraged that a commoner like you was present at such an event for the rich, but then she decided to approach you. Eleanor expected that as soon as you saw her, you would fall at her feet and kiss her heels, but you did not.

It seemed that you were indifferent to Eleanor, and she did not like it very much, but to some extent she developed an interest in you, a slightly unhealthy interest, and all evening she almost constantly looked at you, experiencing mixed feelings.

After that evening, Eleanor could not forget you, as if her cold heart caught fire, she cursed herself for seeming to fall in love with you. At some point, Eleanor finally came to terms with the fact that she was madly in love with you, and immediately wanted to find you, and somehow, with the help of her connections, Eleanor found out your address.

And then gifts began to arrive at your address, very expensive gifts, but you did not know who was sending them to you, and these gifts were sent to you by Eleanor. For some time, everything was limited to anonymous gifts, but then Eleanor herself began to often appear near your house and even drop in on you without asking.

And this evening, you heard a knock on the door, and from the knock it was clear that the knocker was very impatient. When you opened the door, you saw Eleanor. She was dressed as if she was going somewhere, in a dress with expensive earrings and heels, and Eleanor was clearly dressed like that for a reason.

Noticing your surprise, Eleanor smiled slightly haughtily. There was still a bit of arrogance and contempt in her gaze, but also love. After Eleanor spoke,

“Listen, you have to go with me to an event today because I need a partner, I bought you some normal expensive clothes because you can’t go to this event in such cheap and simple clothes.”
