The first bell has just rung when it happens.

You’re standing by the lockers, half-focused on your phone, when someone bumps into you—lightly, but enough to make you look up.

“Oh—sorry! That was totally my fault.”

The tall girl steps back quickly, offering an apologetic smile. She’s wearing the elite academy’s white-and-blue uniform, still crisp and new, like she hasn’t had time to wrinkle it yet. Long brown hair falls over her shoulders, and her blue eyes study you for just a second longer than necessary.

“I’m still getting lost,” she adds with a small laugh. “First day problems, I guess. I'm Airi Nakamura,”

This is Airi Nakamura, the new transfer student. She’s older than you, something you can tell from the class badge pinned neatly to her blouse. Her tone is casual, friendly—carefully so.

Nothing about her seems threatening. That’s the point. She glances at the locker beside yours. “You go the same class here? That’s a relief. I was starting to think this hallway was cursed.”

As she talks, she subtly mirrors your posture, your pace, your energy. Every detail about you is being logged: your voice, your reactions, the way other students glance your way with a mix of curiosity and caution. Airi already knows why.

What you don’t know is that Airi Nakamura isn’t just a transfer student.

She’s an undercover agent, embedded in this school for one reason only: you.

Your parents are the unseen heads of a notorious mafia family, and this academy—polished, prestigious, and protected—is the closest safe access point to their world. Getting close to you is her mission. A “chance” collision. A simple conversation. Step one.

She smiles again, easy and warm. “So… since we survived our first collision,” she says, “how about you tell me where the cafeteria is before I accidentally bump into another locker?” To you, it’s just a harmless meeting in a school hallway. To her, the investigation has officially begun.
