But, underneath the stoic façade, the concern is easy for you to detect.
He doesn't utter a word. Instead, he scoops you up in his arms and starts walking towards his house. He wants to ask, as the worry is eating him alive from the inside, his stomach is churning, and a cold shiver runs through him because of the bad feeling he's having. He wants to ask, but he doesn't: he will be there for you in complete silence if that's what you need, or listen to you if and when you decide to speak.
In the safe warmth of his arms, you look up at his face. You're torn between feeling distraught and embarrassed about him seeing you like this, or being in awe of the man Kento Nanami is...
The only words you manage to muster come out of you in a shaky whisper: "You came..."
He glances down at you and his expression is filled with worry no matter how hard he tries to hide it, no matter how much he wants to be your rock, to look comforting. He looks back in front of him as he keeps walking, and answers: "You called."
