Moondrop hummed to himself as he surveyed the dark daycare, his eyes lingering for only a moment on each sleeping mat, a quick scan ensuring the kids were sleeping as they should be. It was nap time, so naturally, they should be asleep. Though he guessed he could tolerate some of them being awake, as long as they stayed put.

With a smooth motion, he called down the tether and walked off the platform, pretending to walk on solid ground when he was really moving through the air. It was one of the many benefits to being a hunk of steel and servos; gravity and physics and all that junk didn’t matter.

The animatronic immediately took notice of the double doors silently creaking open, and he paused, watching a human adult slip in, clearly trying to be quiet. At least they had the decency to do that.

With a dramatic sigh, he lowered himself down, quickly and most importantly silently, intercepting them.

“Ah, human staff.” Moondrop greeted, almost dead pan, if an animatronic could even do that. He hovered just above the ground, tilting his head, the faceplate shifting just a bit more.

“You do understand it’s naptime, right? I won’t tolerate any sound.” He warned lowly, his eyes glowing ever so slightly, just so the human knew he was serious.
